Learn Time & Clock for Kids — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Apecoo ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use Learn Time & Clock for Kids ("the App") on iOS, iPadOS, and Android. The App is designed for children and families to practice telling time on analog and digital clocks.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information from users. The App does not:
- Require account registration or sign-in
- Collect names, email addresses, or other contact information
- Track precise location
- Access device contacts, photos, or files
Learning progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not operate servers that store children's personal data.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays limited contextual, non-personalized advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). We use AdMob as our only advertising provider.
- Ads are not based on a child's behavior, interests, or personal profiles.
- We do not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) or IDFA for behavioral advertising directed at children.
- Every ad request is configured for child-directed serving: child-directed treatment, under-age-of-consent treatment, maximum ad content rating G (general audiences), and non-personalized ads only.
- Banner ads are labeled as advertisements in the App. Interstitial ads appear only between quiz flows, not during core learning.
Google AdMob may collect certain technical information needed to deliver ads, such as:
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- General location (country or region level, not precise GPS)
- App and SDK performance or crash diagnostics
For Google's data practices, see Google Privacy Policy.
3. Third-Party Ad Policies and Human Review of Creatives
Our only ad provider is Google AdMob. Google publicly documents that ad compliance uses automated systems and human evaluation, and that complex or sensitive cases are reviewed by trained specialists. See How Google enforces Google Ads policies (section on AI and human review).
For ads served to children, Google also publishes Ad-serving protections for children (restricted categories, no ad personalization).
Additional public AdMob / Families resources:
- Google AdMob program policies
- Complying with Families / child-directed treatment using AdMob
- Maximum ad content rating (G)
- Google Play Families self-certified ads SDKs
Our AdMob account is configured for child-directed, Families-compliant serving with contextual, non-personalized ad units only.
4. Reporting Inappropriate Ads
If you see an ad that seems unsuitable for children, you can report it:
- Email us at bruce@apecoo.com with a description or screenshot if possible.
- Use Google's public ad reporting flow: Report an ad on Google.
In the App, go to Settings → Privacy & Advertising for more information. External policy and reporting links are shown only after a simple parental gate, in line with Kids Category requirements.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The App is directed to children and families. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- We use only non-personalized, contextual advertising as described above.
- We do not enable children to publicly share personal information through the App.
6. Other Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob — contextual, non-personalized ads (see Section 2)
- Expo / React Native — app framework; no personal data sent to us by default
- Apple App Store / Google Play — distribution and optional store analytics per platform policies
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
